Buying in bulk means purchasing a large portion of a cow—such as a quarter, half, or whole cow—at once. This gives you a variety of cuts at a lower price per pound compared to store-bought beef.
For reference, a quarter cow requires about 4-5 cubic feet of freezer space, a half cow needs 8-10 cubic feet, and a whole cow needs 16-20 cubic feet.
On average, a quarter cow yields around 80-100 lbs, a half cow yields 160-200 lbs, and a whole cow yields 320-400 lbs of packaged beef.
You’ll get a mix of steaks (ribeye, sirloin, etc.), roasts, ground beef, and other cuts like stew meat or brisket, depending on your preferences and the butcher’s processing options.
Properly frozen and vacuum-sealed beef can last 12-18 months without losing quality. Ground beef is best used within a year.
Our pricing is based on the hanging weight (the weight of the cow after initial processing). The final packaged weight will be about 60-65% of the hanging weight due to trimming and bone removal.
You can place an order by contacting us directly through our website or phone. A deposit is required to secure your beef, with the remaining balance due before pickup or delivery.
Our beef is locally raised on Scheider Farm in Lake City, FL, as well as McGill Farms in Kingstree, SC and TX. We focus on high-quality, pasture-raised cattle.
We offer both grain-finished and grass-finished options. Our grain-finished beef is fed grain in the final months for enhanced marbling and flavor, while our grass-finished beef remains on pasture its entire life for a leaner taste.
Custom processing is available for halves and whole cows, allowing you to select steak thickness, roast sizes, and ground beef packaging. Quarter orders receive standard butcher cuts.
